Reddit Viral Post: Imagine you’re starving. Your stomach’s growling, the clock finally strikes lunchtime, and just when you get up to eat, your manager says, 'Finish this first.' Frustrating, right? Now, picture saying exactly what’s on your mind loud and clear. That’s exactly what one bold employee did, and his reply is now winning hearts online. In a post going viral on Reddit, a user shared the story of his friend who faced this exact situation. The employee, working in a mid-sized company, was on his way to lunch when his manager suddenly asked him to complete some work first. Hungry and irritated, the man snapped back, “Khaana k liye hi to kama raha hu, aur yahan aap mujhe khaanakhaane se hi rokrahe ho.”
Without waiting for a response, he walked off to eat. The manager didn’t react at that moment, but the employee later grew anxious about whether he’d crossed a line. According to the Reddit post, he called his friend that evening and asked if he had done something wrong. The friend reassured him, saying he stood up for a basic right and did absolutely nothing wrong.
Netizens quickly rallied behind the employee. Many praised his honesty, while others highlighted how common such situations are in Indian corporate offices, where even a lunch break turns into a fight for dignity.

One user wrote, "I know he might believe he was wrong, but he is actually gonna save a lot of people with this simple act. Now onwards, that manager would think thrice before saying the same thing to any person." "If the manager is human enough, then he'll reflect on his actions and just apologise. Otherwise, if he's scum, then he will create problems for him," a second user wrote.

I was in the middle of eating, but I had to go and complete the task. I left my food in the middle, and when I came home, I was crying like a baby. Then my mum said, “ Beta khaanekeliye hi kamarihai and khaanebhinideretoh ese kaisechalega, Then I started responding smartly to my manager." "Ask him to change his job as soon as a year completes. It's impossible to survive under such a manager," a fourth user wrote.
