The surprise visitor didn’t just pass by; it roamed around inside the building, leaving the policemen stunned and alarmed. The entire incident was captured on the station’s CCTV cameras and has since gone viral on social media.

The viral video shows the leopard confidently strolling through different rooms, completely unbothered by its unusual surroundings. It inspects each corner and then calmly walks out to another room. Shortly after the leopard went inside the room, a policeman nervously peeks out from behind a door to make sure it’s gone. When he sees the coast is clear, he rushes to shut the door. But in a moment of panic, he struggles to bolt it properly, fumbling with the latch before finally securing it.

The video has taken the internet by storm, with many calling it both scary and fascinating. While no one was harmed, the incident has sparked conversations online about the growing presence of wild animals in human spaces.

IAS officer Supriya Sahu shared the now-viral video on X on her account '@supriyasahuias.' The post was captioned, "A Leopard decided to inspect the Naduvattam Police Station in Nilgiris. Hats off to the police officer on duty who calmly closed the door and called the forest officials. No one was hurt. The leopard went back safely to the forest."

The video shared yesterday received 127k views from social media users. While many users were shocked to see this rare sight, others applauded the bravery of the policeman for how calmly he reacted to this serious situation. One user wrote, "Looks like the leopard wanted to file a "paws-itive" report!
Guess he left when he saw the station was "claw-sed" for the day!" "Where was he when the leopard went into his room? Must admire the policeman's composure, as he made few casual attempts to lock the door, as if a cat is wandering around," a second user added.
