What was meant to be a fun Instagram reel has instead sparked concern and criticism from viewers across social media. In the clip, the child is seen acting out a scene with her mother, but things take a turn when she slaps her during the act. Shared on Instagram by Sanayata Ranjan, the video is being slammed by netizens who say it sends the wrong message to young minds. Many believe such content, even if playful, normalises violence and should not be encouraged just for views.
Several users pointed out that children often imitate what they see, and promoting such behaviour in the name of entertainment could have lasting negative effects.

The viral video shared three days ago has pulled an impressive 5.1 million views from social media users. The post was captioned, "Phir wahi baat." While the video might have been created for light-hearted fun, many felt it crossed a line, emphasising that “this should not be taught to a kid.”
One user wrote, "Mazak mazak main batmize mat sikhya bachi Hain ap mother respect." "This is getting mannerless day by day. What are you teaching your child for the sake of content? Disgusting," a second user added. "Not good...keep your kids away from mobile and social media. Also, to teach them to slap your mom or elders, even though it's reel/acting, it's not good," a third user added.
"You should not raise your hands; this is wrong. Don't teach your children all this for reels," added a fourth user. "Now her mommy after her reels getting famous khud aa jati hai aur Upar se badtameeze wale reels sikha rahi hai… now the reels ain’t natural anymore," added another user.
