L&T Chairman 90-Hour Work Week: Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Chairman, SN Subrahmanyan, recently made headlines with a remark that has sparked a wave of controversy on social media. The veteran corporate leader expressed regret over not being able to make his employees work on Sundays, a comment that quickly ignited strong reactions from netizens. His statement immediately drew comparisons to Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy, who had recently stirred debate by suggesting that India's work culture needs to evolve and that young professionals should be ready to work up to 70 hours a week.

In the viral video circulating online, Subrahmanyan is heard saying, "I regret that I am not able to make you work on Sundays, to be honest. If I could have done that, I would be happier because I work on Sundays," when asked about enforcing working on Saturdays during an employee interaction.

He further provoked controversy by asking, "What do you do, sitting at home? How long can you stare at your wife, or how long can the wife stare at your husband? Come on, get to the office and start working."
