ICC World Cup 2023: The early sale of tickets for the much-awaited World Cup 2023 has started on the ticketing platform BookMyShow on Tuesday. Tickets for the highly anticipated India vs. Pakistan also went live on the same platform. The World Cup in India gets underway on the 5th of October as England takes on New Zealand in Ahmedabad.

However, Cricket fans are not happy as booking tickets from this platform is rather exhausting as they have encountered multiple crashes on the platform. There were also incredibly lengthy waiting periods.

Irked fans after waiting for so long took to social media handle to just bash the site and vent their frustration.

One such netizen wrote, "Waited in the queue, picked my seats and whenever I tried to pay @bookmyshow kicked me out saying Network Error! After trying it multiple times I got banned from their site! You guys clearly can't handle the traffic on your site! What a waste!"

While another wrote, “Excuse me sir, what is the procedure to book 2027 World Cup tickets? Unfortunately, I was 1 second late for 2023 WC tickets."

A post read, “More chances of practising hard and making it to the Indian team for the World Cup than getting tickets to watch it!"

Another user posted, “Lol! The waiting time to get India vs Pakistan tickets for the World Cup 2023 is ‘11 HOURS.’ And that’s happening when it is a ‘PRE-SALE’ for specific group of people. What a joke!"

One other post read, “Seriously frustrated trying to book tickets for #INDvsBAN ICC Cricket World Cup match! Wait time keeps going up: 3 hours, 4 hours, now 5 hours! Come on @ICC , this is crazy!"

Earlier today, half an hour into the ticket sales, the website crashed. The opening day of ticket sales was reserved for non-India matches, including the warm-ups. However, the process stared at 8 pm local time and soon after fans complained of the 'Bookmyshow' application crashing amid a mad rush to book the tickets.
The ticket sales for India games in Chennai, Delhi and Pune will go live on August 31 while the coveted ones for the Indo-Pak blockbuster in Ahmedabad will be put up for sale on September 3.
