The belief that every individual walks their own road when it comes to a successful life is not exactly new. In fact, one’s path to success can not be compared to another, as people have their own sets of struggles and goals. Speaking on a similar matter, a 23-year-old ‘internet marketer’ shared his journey to earning USD 5,00,000 annually at a young age. The post went viral on social media but for all the wrong reasons. What seemingly ticked most people off was the way the man was somewhat glorifying ‘poor work-life balance’ and ‘sleepless nights working’ to achieve better goals. The post further sounded tone-deaf to many, as India recently mourned the loss of a young woman, who passed away due to work pressure at EY Pune.

The post went viral and pulled many reactions. Most people chastised the man and reminded him about people having different goals, while a few called his post fake. Some also claimed that they were earning better than him, despite living their life the way they wanted.

The post was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘digitalkushal’. The post was captioned, “I'm 23yrs old earning over $5,00,000 annually. When students of my age were partying & chilling, I was: - Having sleepless nights working- Missing social events- Dealing with failures/rejection- Losing work-life balance. But I chose that. Are you building your dream life?” The post was shared a few days back and pulled 247K views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “You lived your life, they are living theirs. Not everyone dreams of earning so much, stop making it a fancy show-off. You worked hard, you got your money. Live with it. Stop creating that pressure for the younger lot that if they don’t earn this much, they are useless,” a user said.

“He is just trying to gain some more followers, all these SEO and online marketing accounts do that, nothing new in that, and moreover the amount what he has mentioned is absolutely fake,” added another.

“I was partying at that age and now earning more than what you have mentioned. What I want to say is if it is working for you then it doesn’t mean it will work for everyone. Another example is Lakhs of players dedicated. There is life to play for India but only 11 qualify,” added another.
