Viral Video: Despite repeated discussions about women’s safety, many still feel it exists only in words rather than reality. A recent shocking incident proves this yet again, as a man and his sister were allegedly attacked by a violent group of men—simply because he stood up for her.
The man took to social media to narrate his ordeal, revealing that he and his sister were watching the ICC Champions Trophy final in their residential society. As India secured victory, a group of men began celebrating by bursting crackers, allegedly aiming them at the crowd. The situation escalated when his sister got hurt, prompting them to leave. However, things took a disturbing turn when the group of men allegedly started misbehaving with his sister. When he intervened, the group turned aggressive, chasing him and even damaging his car while his sister was still inside.
According to the man, the attackers followed him near his building, attempting to block his way, leaving him fearing for his and his family’s safety. The incident, which took place just a day after International Women’s Day, quickly went viral, sparking widespread outrage. Meanwhile, the man’s Instagram suggests he is from Faridabad.

The viral video was posted on social media by musician Nirbhay Garg on his account 'music.by.nirbhay.' In the caption, he expressed his fear and frustration, stating, "I’m uploading this because I’m tired of the violence. My life and my family’s life are in danger. I hope this doesn’t happen to you. This is just one day after International Women’s Day." Shared just a day ago, the video has already garnered 100k views, sparking widespread concern and discussion online.
In the comment section, social media users shared their frustration and personal experiences regarding public safety. One user wrote, "Civic and civil sense are completely missing. There is no fear, no shame. I'm sorry you and your sister had to go through this. Faridabad was once a decent place, but it has been ruined." Another user recalled a similar ordeal, saying, "I once feared for my life while driving with my wife. A mob of 10,000 people celebrating on the road blocked our way. Despite calling the police multiple times, they refused to help—even though their station was in the middle of it all. That day, we realized we had to take our own precautions because the system never will."
One user expressed solidarity, writing, "I am deeply saddened by this unfortunate event. We can’t even imagine how difficult it must have been for you and your sister. But know that you are not alone—we all stand with you. This should never have happened, my brother. Every single person responsible will be punished, and I promise they will face consequences." Another user questioned the justice system, stating, "A valid question was raised at the end—how will justice be served if the victims don’t survive? And this happened just a day after Women’s Day. I can only hope for your safety and that you report those involved, though I’m not sure if anything will actually be done."
