Man donates Rs 100 crore to temple: Hindu temples receiving a huge amount of donations is not a new thing, as many temples in India have received huge amounts of donations in the past from the devotees. In what could be new record, a temple in Andhra Pradesh has received Rs 100 crore donation from a devotee.

The temple authorities in Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Temple first received a cheque for Rs 10, but the devotee then came back to add a few more zeros, making the donation much more valuable in terms of money.

But the temple was in for another plot twist that they did not see coming. When the temple authorities reached out to the bank to get the cash in return they were left in utter shock after the bank officials informed them that the bank account only has Rs 17 in it.


The man, Varang Lakshmi Narasimha Devasthanam, and his Rs 100 crore donation story have now gone viral on social media. Most of the netizens found the incident hilarious, while others believed it to be disrespectful.

The temple will reportedly avoid the incident as it was a donation. Apart from that, the temple has reportedly encountered such incidents in the past as well, where devotees dropped checks with huge amounts written on them.
