With a country like India where ‘diversity’ runs in its veins, along with some other factors like ‘class, caste, social expectations’ and more, coming across some of the most bizarre matrimonial advertisements isn't exactly surprising. In fact, netizens have seen some of the most demanding and questionable matches on the internet, which only left people shocked. Amid all such ads, one in particular went viral, but for completely different reasons. The advertisement had all the regular information, along with something that left people confused; Calculation. Confused? Well, the man shared his income status, where he revealed his Rs 29 LPA income. He then went on and claimed about ‘compounding by 54 per cent every year’ on his income.

The post was already grabbing eyeballs over the ‘compounding’ point, but then it turned further interesting. The man claimed that he was ready to share a PPT over the calculation, that people can check through a Whatsapp text. The ad was published in a newspaper, a picture of which was shared by an internet user. The post went viral almost instantly and pulled countless reactions.

Most people found the ‘compounding’ claim hilarious as they refused to believe it, while the rest shared jokes on the post. Many also speculated the ad was a scam and suggested being aware of such scammers.

The post was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘kumarsamit’. The post was captioned, “What all bull market does to people. Rough calculations show that he was 10 years old when the 2008 GFC hit us. ⁦@ActusDei⁩ - maybe someone from your team should reach out to him. Not for matrimonial but for that ppt!”

The guy is trying to get double benefits from the advert. Shadi bhi ho jayega aur ppt bhi chal jayega (I want the advertisement to find him a match and run his PPT as well),” added a second person.

“Beware - Probably a phishing attempt! There are several tell-tale red flags!!” commented a third person. “5'11.25" shows how accurate he is up to two decimal places,” added a fourth person. “59% Compounding - boss this guy will beat Buffett very soon,” added a fifth person. “He might start selling the course on how to increase the net worth by 54% per year,” added another.
