Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma Viral Video: When politics takes a backseat, music takes charge for Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma. A brand-new video has brought back his musical side, and once again, it’s winning hearts all over the internet. At an event held inside the historic Raj Bhavan in Shillong, Sangma sat down at a 150-year-old piano and began playing the timeless Bollywood classic PehlaNasha from the 1992 film Jo JeetaWohi Sikandar.
The moment the tune filled the hall, the audience broke into smiles and cheers. Many quickly reached for their phones to capture what turned out to be another 'Rockstar Sangma' moment.
The crowd also included Governor CH Vijayashankar, who witnessed the CM’s soulful performance live. Soon after, the video, shared on X (formerly Twitter) by NortheastToday, started making waves on social media. People praised Sangma’s talent, while others fondly remembered his earlier viral clips where he showcased his love for music.

Not The First Time:
This is not the first time Sangma’s passion has taken the spotlight. In 2023, he stunned many with a guitar solo of Iron Maiden’s Wasted Years. Back in 2021, he won over the internet by singing Bryan Adams’ evergreen hit Summer of '69. His personal social media pages also carry several glimpses of him playing different instruments, making it clear that music is an inseparable part of his life.
About Conrad Sangma:
Beyond the viral clips, Sangma continues to serve as Meghalaya’s 12th Chief Minister since 2018, carrying forward the legacy of his father, late PA Sangma, the former CM of Meghalaya and ex-Speaker of the Lok Sabha. But every time he sits down with a guitar, piano, or microphone, the leader reminds people that he is more than just a politician. With every note, he manages to connect with people in the most heartfelt way, and that’s how Conrad Sangma keeps winning hearts.
