Ghaziabad Viral Video: In a shocking incident from Ghaziabad’s Vijay Nagar, a Blinkit delivery boy was stopped by two men who claimed to be Bajrang Dal members. A video of the encounter, now viral on social media, shows the men questioning the rider about his name and demanding to see what he was delivering. As soon as they spotted non-veg food in the order, one of them scolded the rider saying, "You are a Hindu, and you're doing this, aren't you ashamed?" He was then asked to call the customer on speaker.

The rider did as told, and what followed took a surprising turn. The customer calmly responded; she was Christian. Only then did the vigilantes allow the delivery to continue. Toward the end of the clip, the Bajrang Dal members are seen standing outside a Blinkit dark store. They claim that the staff there has agreed to stop selling non-veg food during the holy month.

Kotwali Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ritesh Tripathi, confirmed that the incident happened on Tuesday. “We have not received any complaint over the incident till now,” he said, adding that a team has been formed to look into the matter.

This incident comes just a week after a similar act of food policing, where a KFC outlet in Ghaziabad was pressured to serve only vegetarian items during Sawan. Later, police officials stepped in and made it clear that no rule bans the sale of non-veg food during this time.

The issue has also reached the Supreme Court. A petition challenged a government order that asks restaurants along the yatra route to display QR codes with owner details. The court said that food businesses must follow the Food Safety and Standards Act, but did not support any extra restrictions.

Social media users didn't hold back. One user wrote, "Happening in Ghaziabad is scary! Always thought it was happening in the more rural side of India. The virus is spreading." "At least they were able to order food. In my area, Blinkit did not have any options to purchase non-veg items on their app," a second user added. "How could the Blinkit partner give the number of the customer to any stranger? Isn't this a security breach?" a third user asked.

"This has become a serious issue. Who are these people and why doesn't the police act on these rogue elements?" added a fourth user. "Blinkit must ask that guy who informed on fellow rider to resign or better fire him, else he poses a threat to delivery guy and customer. These guys have address details," a fifth user added.
