Cannes Film Festival 2024: Gone are the days when pets were just pets. In the last few decades, these furry balls have displayed their abilities in several impressive fields. From being a mayor to acing duties as an employee in libraries, post offices, and even in Government offices, these adorable creatures have surely left an impact. The cinema industry too, is no different, as several animals debuted their ‘acting careers’ in some of the most hailed projects. So understandably, it was only a matter of time before a four-legged furry actor walked the red carpet and attended a celebrated film festival.
Luckily for the fans of the award-winning film ‘Anatomy Of A Fall’, the movie’s adorable canine star, Messi the Border Collie, became the one to make such history. Becoming the first ever dog to walk the red carpet at a Cannes Film Festival, Messi garnered excessive love after attending this year's Cannes.
Videos and photos of the adorable one flooded social media, as people loved the dog. The little one was seen posing for the cameras and also got clicked with the film’s star cast. The much-celebrated event, the Cannes Film Festival, began on May 14 and will culminate on May 25.
A video was also shared on Instagram, which went viral soon after getting shared. Most people loved the furry one behaving just like an actor, while the rest found the walk a bit too adorable. Many also loved the way the actor canine posed like a pro.
The video was shared by the Instagram handle ‘Brut’. The post was shared yesterday and pulled more than 32K likes from admirers.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Messi finally said, calm down i will give autographs to everyone,” a user said. “Why isn’t he dressed???
