Israel-Hamas Conflict: Soon after the long-running Israel and Palestine conflict took one of the deadliest turns on October 07 after Palestinian terrorist group Hamas infiltrated Israel through the Gaza Strip, killing more than 700 Israelis and abducting many, the internet also witnessed a rift as people started taking sides. Some sided with Israel and expressed their disapproval of the atrocities done by Hamas, while some chose to support Palestine and the long-running ‘loss of lives’ that the country faced against Israel. Amid choosing different sides, actor-model and former adult film actress Mia Khalifa also took a stance and expressed her strong support for Palestine. But as she began her streak of support towards the Palestinian people, many netizens were quick to point out a few X (formerly Twitter) posts that somewhat supported the Hamas terrorist group and its inhumanity against the Israelis. The issue was triggered after an X post where she supported Palestine. “If you can look at the situation in Palestine and not be on the side of Palestinians, then you are on the wrong side of apartheid and history will show that in time,” the X post read.

Taking to the comment section, people began to contradict her stance. “Go stand in Gaza with a poster of your last film & say that again. We’ll wait,” a user wrote. “Imagine being on the side of medieval barbarians who'd stone you to death for your lifestyle,” wrote a second. “Girl, palestinians would give you a walk like they did with the poor german girl recently. And you still support that??? Well, Im not surprised. Not that you're known for telling the truth or even being intelligent,” joined a third.
More than 1,100 people have reportedly lost their lives ever since Israel and the Islamist group Hamas conflict began. The Israeli sky looked the deadliest, whereas several parts of its land were reduced to rubble on Saturday, October 07, when Hamas bombarded the Israeli Southern cities. Taking immediate action, Israel launched an airstrike on Hamas-occupied Gaza. From houses to mosques, many structures under Hamas control were destroyed, while around 400 lives were reportedly claimed in the retaliation attack by Israel.
Khalifa, on the other hand, continued to express her support for Hamas, which immediately cost her a business deal with Canadian broadcaster Todd Shapiroher and her ties with Playboy Magazine. In an X post, Khalifa wrote, “Can someone please tell the freedom fighters in Palestine to flip their phones and film horizontal.” Responding to her post, the Canadian broadcaster and radio host wrote, “This is such a horrendous tweet @miakhalifa. Consider yourself fired effective immediately. Simply disgusting. Beyond disgusting. Please evolve and become a better human being. The fact you are condoning death, rape, beatings, and hostage-taking is truly gross. No words can explain your ignorance. We need humans to come together, especially in the face of tragedy. I pray for you to become a better person. However, it clearly seems like it’s too late for you.”

On the other hand, Playboy magazine responded to her stance by cutting ties with her, the brand condemned her stance over the violence by Hamas. “We are writing today to let you know of our decision to terminate Playboy's relationship with Mia Khalifa, including deleting Mia's Playboy channel on our creator platform. At Playboy, we encourage free expression and constructive political debate, but we have a zero-tolerance policy for hate speech. We expect Mia to understand her words and actions have consequences,” a statement by the magazine read.
Apart from these statements, Khalifa also gained criticism over some other X posts that she has been sharing ever since the attack took place.
If true journalism exists, the next person to talk to Kylie Jenner will ask for her opinion on geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and not break eye contact until she can string one coherent sentence together since she wants to take a stance to her 400M followers so badly

I’d say supporting Palestine has lost me business opportunities, but I’m more angry at myself for not checking whether or not I was entering into business with Zionists. My bad. https://t.co/sgx8kzAHnL

I just want to make it clear that this statement in no way shape or form is enticing spread of violence, I specifically said freedom fighters because that’s what the Palestinian citizens are… fighting for freedom every day https://t.co/U9mLwzqnnT
