Marathi Language Dispute Viral Video: The trend of speaking in regional languages like Marathi in Maharashtra or Kannada in Bengaluru is growing rapidly. These days, some people even find it "cool" to argue or misbehave with those who don't speak the local language or have moved from another city. In recent days, several such language-related dispute videos have gone viral, and now, yet another disturbing video is making waves on social media. In the viral clip, a few MNS workers are seen slapping a shopkeeper repeatedly just because he wasn’t speaking in Marathi. They can be heard yelling, “Marathi bol!” Meanwhile, the shopkeeper remains calm and tries to handle the situation peacefully.

Things took a shocking turn when one of the men asked the shopkeeper, “Maharashtra mein kaunsi bhasha boli jaati hai?” The shopkeeper politely replied, “Sab bhasha boli jaati hai.” This response enraged the MNS workers, and one of them slapped him. Right after, another member slapped the shopkeeper three more times, turning the situation tense and aggressive.

The video has gone viral and triggered massive outrage online. Many users slammed the actions of the MNS workers, calling them shameful and unacceptable.

The video, shared on X (formerly Twitter) by the handle 'Ghar Ke Kalesh', has garnered over 525K views since it was posted yesterday. While some users sarcastically suggested that similar treatment should be given to actors, the majority strongly condemned the violent behaviour caught on camera.

"All these shopkeepers earn money from there and pay rent to these idiots with which they run their households. Apart from this, they themselves do not do any work and do not contribute to the development of the state by working hard," a user wrote. "See, whatever the issue, he slapped, etc, and others. Why this attitude towards these Hindi-speaking people? Everyone has to accept and respect every language, that is, in India. But see the attitude of the shopkeeper, he is talking in Hindi and giving adamant answers that every language is spoken in Maharashtra, and it seems he has been staying in that place for many years," a second user added.

"Tell MNS to slap Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, Ranveer Singh, as they don't speak Marathi," a third user wrote. "This isn’t pride in Marathi — this is pure gundagardi. Raj Thackeray’s MNS is nothing but a goon squad in the garb of regional pride. Shameful," added a fourth user. "MNS workers should also slap Nd kick out Bollywood actors who cannot speak Marathi despite living there for decades," added another user.
