UP Viral Video: In a typical ‘Varanasi type’ incident, a car owner lost their luxury car’s sunroof to a monkey. Confused? Well, so would have been the car owner’s car insurance company if the incident hadn't been captured on a CCTV camera installed nearby. A video was shared on social media, which showed a monkey jumping on the said car’s sunroof. Naturally, the sunroof failed to endure the weight and force by which the furry one jumped on it, resulting in the sunroof shattering instantly. Luckily for the animal, the monkey was seen casually walking away after the glass was broken. Unfortunately for the car and its owner though, the vehicle suffered a hefty loss. As per reports, the incident unfolded in Varanasi’s Visheshwarganj area, on November 19.
The video pulled many reactions after getting shared. Most people raised questions over the possibility of the incident being covered under car insurance, while the rest expressed their concern over the safety of the animal.
The UP video was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘GaurangBhardwa1’. The post was captioned, “Here it is, your sunroof.” The post was shared three days ago and pulled 847K views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Brother, how much loss did this car owner suffer?” a user said. “Is the monkey ok?” added a second person. “Insurance cover hoga is situation me? *Genuine Questions* (Will this be covered under car insurance?),” added a third person.
“Insurance company ko kaise samjhayega ye incident (How will you explain this incident to the insurance company),” added a fourth person. “One more reason why cars with sunroofs in India are hard to maintain...!!!” added a fifth person. “Isn't the sunroof a glass item? Glass items are not covered in normal insurance? Isn't it?” asked another.
