Viral Video: There are two types of parents; the one who is always chill, no matter what, and then there is the one who believes in shielding their kids at all cost. And the difference between the two is exactly the type of debate that took over a video that is now going viral on social media. In the video, a mother was playing with her son quite close to a lake, while the father was recording them. However, the situation took a sudden turn after the mother jumped back along with her son after spotting a snake near them. The reptile swam past them, which triggered a reaction by the father who called the woman’s reaction unnecessary.

The video went viral almost immediately and left people divided. Some were irked by the man’s blatant take on the possible threat that the snake posed, while the rest termed woman’s reaction an ‘overreaction’.

The video was shared on the social media platform Instagram ‘Spotlighttv_’. The post was captioned, “Woman encounters snake that came close to her and son.” The video was shared seven days ago and pulled more than 1K.

The video, soon after getting shared, went viral and pulled all kinds of reactions from people. Most found the woman’s reaction appropriate, while some sided with the man and called the woman’s reaction a bit too much.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “I’m with her. I would be terrified especially with my kid there. Say what you may mean, but most are scared of snakes,” a user said.

“A Black snake minding its own business. You over here scared as shit cause you didn’t Check in with the wildlife, before pulling up,” read a second person.

“She's definitely overreacting, snakes are so misunderstood. The snake wants nothing to do with humans,” wrote another.

“Snake doesn’t want anything to do with you and your spawn. He’s just living his life and you’re in the way,” added another.
