As soon as it hit 12 AM, Indian Railways marked the moment in its own special way, with loud train honks echoing through the station.

The clip shared a few hours ago, quickly took over social media, crossing 7.8 million views. "Hardworking Cuties celebrating the beginning of 2026," a user wrote. "The only honking which is likeable and bearable," a second user wrote. "This is what conch will make our whole year good!! Say Hail Shri Ram," wrote a third user. "No one supports you for the whole year like Mumbai local," added another user.

"In our childhood on the 31st Dec., our father woke us up to see a similar scene. From outside our home, we could overlook a Sea full of steamers and barges, and on the 31st, sharp at midnight, they used to honk all together and release light bulbs into the sky. During those years, it was pure welcome music to the years and illumination was not pollution... Over the years, everything has changed, father is gone and what remains are the memories of the good old days," added a fifth user.
