Viral Video: Just a few weeks ago, a horrifying video of a pet Chow Chow getting harassed at Thane’s Vetic Pet Clinic by two groomers left people shocked and outraged, resulting in the arrest of the assaulters. However, the 1.5-year-old cat Lala, was not fortunate enough, as the little one lost its life after the groomers allegedly ‘ignored’ the cat’s ‘worsening condition’ during the grooming process. The incident took place in Mumbai’s Tidy Paws Pet Salon, where reportedly, despite the owners' concerns over the cat’s condition, the store staff allegedly assured the pet’s safety. However, the grooming day turned into a nightmare after the cat passed out, and was later declared dead after being taken to the hospital.

A video of the pet parent confronting the shop owner, along with a few other people, was shared online, which went viral and angered netizens. As per the video, the grooming centre tried to blame a ‘stroke’ behind the cat’s demise, rather than ‘accepting the mistake’. Moreover, the groomers involved in the matter were sent home, whereas the shop owner was seen closing his centre after the matter went out of hand. The video was shared by ‘StreetdogsofBombay’ on their social media handle.

What further triggered the rest of the internet was that, as per Street dogs of Bombay’s update, the pet owner eventually refused to file an FIR, despite volunteers providing their full support in the matter. The update triggered many as people partially ‘blamed’ such pet owners for not taking action for their pets’ lives.

The video was shared on the social media platform Instagram, by the handle ‘StreetdogsofBombay’. The post was captioned, “We are deeply saddened to hear about yet another tragic incident involving a pet at a grooming centre. After the recent heartbreaking incident with a Chow Chow in Thane, another pet owner has faced a devastating loss. A cat owner from Mira Road took her 1.5-year-old cat 'Lala' to Tidy Paws Pet Salon in Sheetal Nagar for grooming. Despite the owners' concerns about the cat's discomfort during the grooming process, the staff reassured them that everything was under control.”

Taking to the comment box, people shared their views. “Yeah imma groom my own pets,” a user said. “Poor little baby. Karma should destroy those people completely,” said a second person. “I'd be in jail for murder if it was my pet,” said a third user. “This is so heartbreaking. We need stricter laws and punishment,” added another.

“GROOMING CENTRES, HOME BASED FOSTERS, SHELTERS, BOARDING FACILITIES - Please do a thorough check before leaving your babies there. The poor thing was OK one minute and suffered a painful end just because sadak chhap employees that have zero training couldn't do their job,” said a fifth user.

“That's so sad to lose your fur baby ... strict laws and regulations should be in place when grooming places are opened and someone from the pet should be there at all times when the pet is grooming,” added a sixth person.
