AI Tracks Employees’ Work: While life has surely become much easier with the advancement of AI, the tool still has its own drawbacks. Most of these drawbacks fall under the category of a ‘drawback’ due to its threat to humanity and its way of working. A similar incident was highlighted after a video of an AI tool called Chooch, tracking the work done by the employees, surfaced online. The video showed the details of the work that was being handled by the employees of a coffee shop. The questionable clip instantly went viral on social media and sparked angry reactions from the netizens.
The video was shared by the Instagram handle ‘Acknowledge AI by Pubity’. The post was captioned, “This is wild. Using an AI tool called Chooch, this coffee shop was able to track how long customers were waiting and how many orders their employees needed to fulfill.”
In the video, the AI tool was seen tracking the work done by the employees of the coffee shop. Each employee’s name and the number of cups they needed to serve were displayed on the screen. The tool also tracked the time duration that each of the customers spent in the coffee shop.

The video did not sit well with the netizens as they expressed their anger over micromanaging the employees through an AI. The netizens chastised the need for AI for such tracking. The video was uploaded seven days ago and has received 57.6K views from the people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their views. “Maybe create an AI that tracks when employers underpay their employees and help them find a better job. Unpopular opinion,” a user said. “Now do an AI that tracks how underpaid they all are,” added a second netizen. “We need more hackers to destroy this man,” commented a third person. “Should use AI to determine which politicians are acting too suspicious,” said a fourth. “Turning us into wage slaves,” said a fifth. “They use the cameras for this instead of evidence against people who harass and assault employees,” pointed out a sixth viewer. “This should be illegal. This is so dystopian,” said a seventh.
