Bengaluru Viral Video: A troublesome incident came forward from Bengaluru, where a BMTC bus conductor went viral for brutally thrashing a woman passenger. A viral video of the same was shared on social media, where the two were seen arguing over a ticket, leading the woman to slap the conductor. However, in retaliation, the way the bus conductor behaved, left people shocked. He began to brutally hit her back multiple times, leading to his suspension. The incident took place on March 26, whereas it unfolded in the Siddapura police station area. The woman, reportedly, was travelling from Bilekalli to Shivajinagar.

Later, an FIR was filed against the bus conductor by the woman. Soon after the clip went viral, the BMTC also released a statement over the man’s suspension. “Based on the said social media news, disciplinary action has been reserved against Mr Honnappa Nagappa Agasar, Conductor, with immediate effect 'suspended,” read the said statement.

However, as soon as the reports on the conductor’s arrest began to float online, people started to share their take. The views were largely divided as some believed that the consequences with the conductor were befitting, while the rest pointed out that the incident was triggered after the woman slapped the conductor first.

The video was shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘HateDetectors’. The post was captioned, “A #BMTC bus conductor assaulted a woman passenger after she slapped him over a dispute about buying a ticket in #Bengaluru's #Siddapura police limits on Tuesday. The incident was recorded on a mobile phone camera and the conductor has since been suspended.”

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “The woman attacked first. Why not talk about it?” a user wrote. “Everyone can see that the woman attacked first, but why not you? How reasonable is it to write that the administrator did the assault and there were witnesses who accused the woman of doing it?” added a second person.

“I hope they arrest the lady too....as she also assaulted the conductor,” read a third person. “Another example of gender biassed laws, why conductor suspended, it's not his fault she assaulted first,” wrote a fourth user. “So no case on the lady?” asked a fifth. The video was shared yesterday and pulled views in thousands.
