Bengaluru Man Viral Reddit Post: At a crowded Bengaluru signal, a man sitting quietly on the footpath caught everyone’s attention. His story wasn’t told through words spoken aloud but through a piece of paper he held in his hand. The handwritten note read: “I don’t have job, no house, please help me. I have 14 years of working experience in banking.” Beside him lay a backpack and a small sheet with a QR code, hinting at digital contributions. A Reddit user, @Being-Brilliant, who spotted him, shared two photos online. One showed the man sitting with his belongings, while the other zoomed in on the note.
Along with the post, the user wrote, “Came across this man at a prominent Bengaluru signal. As heartbreaking as it is to see him, I keep wondering this is a result of society's failure or personal choices?” The pictures quickly spread and drew thousands of reactions. Many people felt sorry for him.
But not everyone saw it so simply. Another perspective reminded people that unemployment isn’t just about finding any job. Being without work for a long time can leave someone broken inside, battling depression and hopelessness, which makes even simple tasks feel impossible.

The post received many comments from Reddit users. "Life as a corporate bot is just like the bench in the background of the pic," a user wrote. "The harsh truth of our country, we barely got enough to even give 1% of the College passouts jobs," a second user wrote. "The life of a man has no respect unless you earn. Judging him without knowing his story feels unfair," added a third user.
"People may help him and recommend him based on his CV; he has 14 years of banking experience," added a fourth user. "Is he physically challenged?. If yes, I have my sympathies for him. If he is not. There are no excuses for a young man to beg like this, especially in a city like Bangalore, where there are plenty of jobs as long as you're willing to work," a fifth user added.
"Wait, so he lost his certificates or like did they get destroyed? Whatever it is it's unfortunate. But if it's just his unwillingness to work or find work, then that's his personal issue," added another user. "IT gives money, so push your children. Good, this is happening and parents are seeing this. Work in other industries. IT is not a secure job and should be considered freelancing," added another user.
