Noida Viral Video: Putting Uttar Pradesh’s law and order situation yet again under scrutiny, a questionable video came forward from Noida’s Paras Tierra Society. The incident reportedly took place on February 29 at Sector 137. In the video, a group of security guards were seen brutally beating up a man using sticks. As per the video, the incident was triggered because of the entry of a stickerless car inside the society’s premises. A female guard was also seen handling the woman who was along with the man who was getting assaulted. The clash went on for a while until the police reached the location. The same video went viral in no time and left people irked over the guards’ behaviour. 

The video was shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘vinodsharmanbt’. The post was captioned, “Such anarchy at midnight in Paras Tierra Society of Sector 137, it is hard to believe that this is a view of a high rise building of educated people. The discussion started on the stickerless car entry @Uppolice @noidapolice @noidakhabar.”

The viral post was later addressed by the police, as the official X handle of ‘POLICE COMMISSIONERATE GAUTAM BUDDH NAGAR’ updated on the incident. As per the post, the police arrested 4 guards involved in the matter, under the Section 142. “Police Station Sector-142 Central Noida:- 04 accused of assault and abusing arrested,” the X post read. 

The video, ever since it was shared, went viral on social media. Most people sided with the civilians and pointed out the ‘brute force’ that the guards were using against the unarmed, while the rest tagged the authorities and demanded action.

Taking to the comment box, people shared their take. “People with goon-criminal mentality sitting in the society association encourage security agencies to commit such acts, a case should also be registered against AOA,” a user said. “A case should be registered against these guards in cases of misbehavior, molestation, and assault of women and they should be sent to jail and the owner of the security guard should also be booked for how he has recruited criminals in his place,” said a second. 

“It is clearly visible in this, whatever may have been the reason, how badly the security guards are beating a person with sticks, in a way they are attempting to murder. Such incidents had been seen in the past also. Strict action should be taken against the security guards involved,” added a third. 

“@Uppolice Guards should be arrested immediately. Using brute force on unarmed civilians is highly deplorable,” said another.
