Zepto Delivery App Viral Video: A shocking food delivery experience has landed Zepto in hot water once again. A woman’s viral Instagram video has stirred major concerns after she claimed to receive rotten and unsafe food items from the platform. In the clip, she cuts into a boiled egg only to find black liquid oozing out. That’s not all; she also shows a watermelon crawling with white worms, leaving viewers disgusted. This isn’t an isolated case. Her post reflects what many customers have been complaining about lately: poor quality and hygiene standards. As the video gained traction online, it added fuel to an already burning issue: Zepto’s warehouse in Maharashtra was recently flagged for bad storage conditions, leading to its license being suspended.

In her Instagram caption, the woman expressed her frustration, saying, “Zepto, how is this acceptable? Every single time, you either send raw fruits or rotten ones. I’ve learned my lesson and won’t order from you anymore. But stop scamming people. Issuing a refund isn’t enough focus on the quality, bro, we end up paying more because of you.” She also warned others through on-screen text in the video, writing, “Stop ordering fruits and eggs from Zepto. Thankfully, I recorded it warna yeh full confidence me bolte hai ‘it passed quality check’.”
With growing public criticism and multiple users now voicing similar complaints, Zepto is under pressure to improve its food handling and ensure tighter quality checks.

The now-viral video was shared on Instagram by the handle 'ayushii.prasad'. The video, shared seven days ago, received 3.8 million views from social media users. After the video went viral, Zepto also reacted to the video, saying, "We understand your concern and want to make this right. Please DM us with your order details so we can assist you further." The comment section is flooded with negative comments.

One user wrote, "Zepto is literally the Naptol of e-commerce." "I ordered fresh bread… got bread expiring today. Customer care: “But it’s still safe to eat.” Bro, I asked for fresh, not a farewell party for the loaf. If I wanted to eat it on its last breath, I would've gone dumpster diving. Fresh means days to go, not hours left. Get it together. Sending me something that’s on its final day isn’t service, it’s just low-key dumping old stock on customers. Fresh ≠ expires today. I’m ordering food, not playing beat the expiry clock," a second user shared her experience.
"Uninstalled just now, because it keeps irritating me with the notification that I have got 100rs cashback, but when I open the app, it's not there... It's totally fake," a third user added. "Big Basket & Blinkit has always worked great for me. The quality & standard are not compromised (at least never happened to me), but with Zepto, I did face issues twice. If so many are raising complaints, I am sure there's a bigger issue being overlooked. Hope they get better with sourcing vendors and QC, or else they are going to lose a massive number of customers," added a fourth user.
