Viral Video: It’s rare to see a doctor so overwhelmed with emotion during retirement, but Dr. Jeevan Singh Titiyal, a Padma Shri awardee and a highly regarded ophthalmologist from AIIMS Delhi, demonstrated just how much his career and colleagues meant to him. In a heartfelt ceremony that has now gone viral, Dr. Titiyal bid farewell to the institution after an incredible 46 years of service.
The viral video shows Dr. Titiyal walking through a crowd of his colleagues, all clapping and cheering to honour his long and dedicated career. Wearing his hospital scrubs, he hugs many of them, his face streaked with tears. The scene beautifully conveys the deep emotional bond he shares with his coworkers and the people he has worked with for almost 50 years.
What made the moment even more moving was how his tears evoked similar emotions in others. Many of his colleagues were seen wiping their eyes, overcome by the touching farewell. This emotional moment reflects the profound impact he had on those around him and the close relationships he built over the years. While his journey at AIIMS has come to an end, his legacy and dedication will continue to inspire many.
