The 2024 Paris Olympics are about to begin and the uniform that will be worn by the Mongolian athletes and flag bearers at the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympics are all that the internet can talk about. ‘Why’, you ask? Well, it’s because their uniform completely shattered the trends over its ‘peak designs’. The uniform designs were shared on the internet, by the fashion label responsible for the mind-numbing creation, 'Michel & Amazonka’. Taking inspiration from the Mongolian flag, the outfit was basically a modern version of the traditional Mongolian ‘deel’, which was designed in the colours of the flag. The outfit also used the country’s national symbol, Soyombo.

The Olympics will begin on July 26, while the games will culminate on August 11. Apart from Mongolia, other participating nations also shared their uniforms for the Olympics, where along with Mongolia, Haiti also drew praise from social media for its outfits. Coming back to Mongolia, as soon as the outfits were shared by the designers, they became an absolute favourite of not only the sports world but also the fashion industry. The Internet seemingly already awarded the country a ‘gold’ for the fit, even before the games began.

The games will be organised in France, where Mongolia is reportedly set to participate with 30 athletes. The participants will compete to increase the number of gold medals the country has won so far; two golds in judo and boxing in 2008, at the Beijing Games.

Taking to the internet, admirers shared their take as they lauded the fits.
