Polish Woman Viral Video: Gabriela, a Polish woman married to an Indian man, Hardik Varma, is making headlines on Instagram for speaking up about the awkward and unfair experiences she often faces while traveling in India with her husband. In her viral post, Gabriela opened up about the strange assumptions people make when they see her with Hardik. “The most awkward moment is whenever we come to a new place in India. We wouldn’t talk about It, but sadly, it is NOT a rare occurrence anymore,” she shared.
What’s the problem? According to Gabriela, many shopkeepers, taxi drivers, and even locals mistake her husband for her tour guide or driver. “Basically, every second shopkeeper or taxi/auto driver assumes that Hardik is my tour guide and, in some circumstances, my driver. Why??” she questioned.
Calling this behaviour “awkward and disappointing,” Gabriela didn't hold back. “This is rude,” she added, making her point loud and clear. She also gave a fitting reply to such assumptions, saying, “Which girl walks around keeping hands and taking 1000s of pictures with her tour guide??” Her bold take sparked strong reactions online.

The viral video, after being shared on Instagram by the handle 'hardikandgabi' six days ago, received 430k views from people. Social media users reacted to the viral video in the comment section. While some people stood by her and supported her message, others joked about it.
One user wrote, "Most husbands by default are tour guides and drivers for their wives and kids. It comes with the job." "Well, my Indian boyfriend absolutely is my driver and my guide hahahaha. But only in India, otherwise it is the exact opposite," a second user added. "There's definitely a lot of potential in that man. He needs to hit the gym and learn to fight. Give him 2 yrs and the results will show," added a third user.
"Because he doesn’t “look like the type of man who’d date or marry a Caucasian lady” Stereotypes are strong in our minds unfortunately and I’m guessing people look at him and see a normal, middle class guy. Not flashy or modern. They assume he won’t be “good enough”," added a fourth user. "The same thing happened to me when I visited my hometown with my wife and family. Some Locals thought I was their tour guide," added another user.
