Rapido Driver Viral Video: A disturbing incident linked to a cab booked through the Rapido app has sparked fresh worries about passenger safety and driver behaviour. The case, said to be from Haryana’s Faridabad, involves a passenger who was allegedly attacked by the driver during the ride. According to reports, the passenger was assaulted with an iron rod after raising a safety concern. While the exact spot of the incident is still unclear, the car’s number plate points to Faridabad. The incident reportedly happened two days ago.
The passenger has been identified as Shoaib Daniyal, political editor at the digital news platform Scroll. As per the information shared, the trouble began when Daniyal asked the driver to stop talking on the phone while driving and to keep both hands on the steering wheel. The request came after the driver had almost hit a motorcycle on the road.
Things quickly escalated, and the driver allegedly attacked Daniyal with a rod. A video of the incident, later shared on X, shows a rod inside the car. The driver reportedly fled the spot after people nearby stepped in and confronted him.
