Viral Video: Half the internet skipped a beat after a video of a young girl, very nonchalantly, playing a ‘deadly’ game went viral on social media. Jumping from tiny blocks to blocks attached in a deep pit, the kid pretty much reminded people of the Korean thriller drama ‘Squid Game’, only, the video was not part of any drama. The said blocks in the video were rotating as the young one jumped around, which looked as scary as it’s sounding. The viral video, of course, left people concerned and scared, only to later realise that it was all VFX and editing! Yes, the said video was smoothly edited and was then shared on the internet, but due to the sharp editing work, the clip turned out to be a bit too real.
The video was shared by the VFX designer, who also shared the original work, where the ground was visibly flat. As soon as people realised the reality, the otherwise scary video turned into something worth admiring, as the internet loved the editing.
The video was shared on the social media platform Instagram, by the user ‘Jathin Nag’. The post was captioned, “Asmitha playing a dangerous game. Kid’s Imagination series.”

The video is doing rounds on social media as people were confused about the clip. Most lauded the VFX and editing in the viral post, while the rest, who mistook the video as being real, expressed their concerns about the safety of the kid. The video was shared a while back and pulled a whopping 2M likes from people.
Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “I gotta admit this is the one time these kinds of edits are actually good, had me fooled maybe for like a couple of seconds till I noticed the way the feet looked,” a user said. “She did a perfect job by Jumping accurately on each Block,” said a second person. “Deleting the long safety measure paragraph I wrote after realizing it's edited,” added next.
“Wait that's freaking vfx fnxnjxkx,” added a third person. “Asmitha is not the one who is playing dangerous here,” said a fourth person. “CGI and VFX in general are so good these days that it’s scary. Can make anything look real,” commented another.
“If you think this looks real you need to reevaluate your competence in all aspects,” wrote a sixth netizen. “I am excited for Instagram to tag fake videos because this one is ridiculous,” added a seventh person.
