Viral Video: India is not exactly on the top when it comes to countries with less or no corruption, and incidents like these do nothing but further fuel the fire- a video was recently shared online, where a nurse was accused of asking for money in exchange for getting a patient admitted. The incident, as per the viral post, unfolded at a hospital’s ‘Ortho Ward’, where the accused nurse was asking for money in the form of ‘Chai-Paani’. The date of the incident could not be confirmed, but the incident, regardless, fumed many after it went viral. In the clip, a man was heard confronting the nurse, whereas the patient’s family was also seen in the same video.
The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Ghar ke kalesh’. The post was captioned, “Kalesh over this particular incident is from Gonda District Hospital where the nurse along with other staff of the Ortho Ward was caught asking for money from the patients admitted there calling it as Chai-Paani.”

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Just when you thought you couldn’t put a price on healthcare,” a user said. “Government karmachari pata nahi itni mahangi chai pani kahan se pite hai (God only knows from where these people get such expensive tea and coffee),” added a second person.
“Government ke har department me Corruption hai, aur sabse zyada corrupt to khud politicians hi hota hai (Every Govt Department is corrupted and politicians are the most corrupt ones),” joined the third person. “This is very common, glad they got exposed,” added a fourth. “Chai from Starbucks costs 500. What’s he talking about? More power to nurse,” joked another.
