Indian weddings are full of surprises. Sometimes, these surprises are beautiful, while other times, they often end up turning into a shock. Something similar, falling to the latter category, took place in Uttar Pradesh, when 6 people were injured at an event for one of the most bizarre reasons. Reportedly, a ‘shortage of Rasgullas’ led to the injury of 6 persons at a wedding. The incident took place in UP’s Shamsabad on Sunday, November 19.
Here Is What Happened:
According to the report, one of the guests at the said wedding pointed out the shortage of Rasgullas during the event. This ‘pointing out’ reportedly led to a clash between people, leaving 6 injured. The injured were then rushed to the hospital for treatment. The injured are currently stable and are out of danger. “Six people were injured in the incident and a case has been registered. Those who are in hospital are out of danger,” Shamsabad police station SHO Anil Sharma was quoted as saying in the reports. “On Sunday, there was a wedding function at the residence of Brijbhan Kushwaha. At the function, a person passed a comment on the shortage of rasgullas,” he was further quoted as saying.
A case has been registered, while an investigation is underway over the matter. As soon as the incident surfaced online, it left most of the internet shocked over its bizarreness. Many ridiculed it, while some expressed their relief for the well-being of the injured.
In a separate incident, a video went viral a few weeks ago, in which a few people were seen brutally fighting over ‘gulab jamun’ at an event. The clip received major criticism from people over the display of questionable behaviour that was seen in the video.
