Sonu Nigam needs no introduction as the singer is arguably one of the most versatile and loved singers in India. A Bollywood playlist is pretty much incomplete without Sonu Nigam’s songs in it. But the singer’s skills were not so memorable when it came to acting. It might come as a surprise to many, but the singer acted in a 2002 film called ‘Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani’, and the results were unforgettable for all the wrong reasons.

Nigam’s acting in the film did not sit well with the fans and was heavily criticised. Now, remembering the film after more than 20 years, a user shared a compilation of the singer’s parts in the movie, leaving the netizens in splits. The post was shared on X handle (formerly Twitter) by ‘IndieKnopfler', with the caption, “Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani completes 21 years. Released on this day in 2002. Here's the ultimate compilation of Sonu Nigam. Thank me later.”

The video was a compilation of clips from the film ‘Jaani Dushman’. All the clips showed Sonu Nigam’s parts in the movie. The post instantly pulled a lot of attention from the netizens as they found it hilarious. The comment box of the post was flooded with comparisons where people recalled the singer’s hit songs and compared them with his acting skills.

“Meanwhile me thinking about Aditya Pancholi’s character whose name was ‘Ashok Kejriwal’ in this magnum opus!!” said a user. “The bar was set quite higher in Love in Nepal,” added a second person. “Sonu Nigam is a great singer. His acting is another story altogether,” joined a third. “Tough to believe that in the same timeline where he gave such ‘performances’ as an actor, he gave us Saathiya and Kal ho na ho as a singer. Two extreme ends of talent. One divine, another forgetful,” pointed out a fourth viewer. “Unpopular opinion - His acting in his music videos is great,” commented a fifth netizen.
