Viral Video: A woman has sparked outrage on the internet after being caught on camera abusing a cab driver for arriving seven minutes late. The video shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) by the handle '@Incognito_qfs,' has gained significant attention, with netizens demanding that all ride-hailing apps impose a strict ban on her. Despite the woman's aggressive behaviour, the driver remained composed and refrained from responding inappropriately.
In the viral video, the woman can be heard using offensive language to berate the cab driver and even threatening to file a complaint against him with the cab company. The video, recorded by the cab driver, does not reveal anyone’s identity. At one point, she even spits on him, but the driver remains calm and refrains from reacting. He calmly explains that he was delayed by seven minutes due to traffic, but the woman refuses to listen to him.

The woman who booked the cab abused the driver, threatened him and spat on him.
The Taxi Driver never lost his cool. He stayed calm & composed. It is good that he recorded the incident. Otherwise, Samaj would have declared himself the culprit… pic.twitter.com/hVlnSEFkb1
The video, shared yesterday, quickly went viral, garnering over 582k views from viewers. The post was captioned: "This cab driver was 7 minutes 'late.' The woman who booked the cab abused the driver, threatened him, and even spat on him. Despite this, the taxi driver never lost hiscomposure. He remained calm and collected. It's a good thing he recorded the incident; otherwise, society might have easily blamed him as the culprit. This woman should be banned from booking cabs across India. She should buy her own car and travel."
The video, after being shared, gained a flood of reactions from users. Many called for ride-hailing apps to ban the woman, while others demanded her arrest.
Let’s take a look at the comment section to see how netizens are reacting to the incident. Incognito commented on the post, "Also, there is no concept of "late" while booking Taxis. Apps give you an estimated time and then the driver tries to reach the pickup point by that time. A 5-10 min delay is very reasonable. Sometimes, drivers even arrive early. This Jaahil Gawar lady needs education, a course in common sense & civic sense. We as a society need to respect drivers, maids, carpenters, plumbers, welders, delivery boys, etc. This elite mentality & entitlement to put down those whom we consider below is not good for society."
"People need to learn the value of time as well. First of all, booking has become a time-consuming task. After 4-5 minutes your cab will be booked. Further, many cab drivers cancel the booking, which often frustrates the passenger. Then after multiple bookings, if the cab comes late that's further frustrating. @Olacabs, @Uber_India need to find a solution of this wait time & booking time," added another user. "She could have canceled if he was getting late but why do this after getting in? Who is she to insult a driver?" a third user wrote.
