A short video shared by Elon Musk on X (formerly Twitter) shows Optimus practicing martial arts with a human trainer. The moment starts on a respectful note as the robot and trainer bow to each other before sparring. What follows next feels straight out of a sci-fi movie; the robot copies each move perfectly, from quick blocks to smooth stances, without any human guidance.

What’s truly jaw-dropping is how effortlessly Optimus keeps its balance and posture through every move. Once the short sparring session ends, it calmly returns to its starting position as if it just completed a routine drill.

The clip has quickly gone viral, sparking mixed reactions online. While many are amazed at how far humanoid robotics has come, others are a bit uneasy about machines learning combat moves on their own. The post shared three days ago pulled an impressive 36 million views from people.
