Bengaluru Viral Video: Motorists on Bengaluru’s Nelamangala road have been put on high alert after a shocking discovery: nearly 1.5 kilograms of sharp nails were scattered across the busy stretch. The alarming news, shared by Karnataka Portfolio on X, has raised fears about the rising threat of the so-called 'puncture mafia.' According to the post, these nails are being deliberately placed on the road to puncture tyres. Once a vehicle gets stuck, the same group, or their accomplices, allegedly appear nearby offering expensive repair services, turning a dangerous stunt into a money-making scheme.

A video shared with the post shows a person walking along the roadside with a metal detector, carefully collecting the nails scattered across the road. The footage highlights that this is more than just a scam; it is a serious safety risk. Two-wheeler riders, in particular, could lose control if their tyres suddenly deflate.

Authorities and citizens alike have been urged to stay vigilant, avoid stopping in isolated areas and immediately report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station or traffic helpline.

"I also experienced near toll gates. Maybe people who have a puncture Shop nearby that place, they might have done this. Avoid going corners of the road near toll gates and flyovers," wrote a third user. "It's been a mafia going on for several years. We faced the same on the HSR Agara flyover also 10 years back. Car tyres are flattened by some miscreants deliberately by throwing nails on the sides of the flyover," added a fourth user.
