Hyderabad Viral Video: Heavy rains turned Hyderabad into a waterlogged city this week, with streets submerged, drains overflowing and traffic moving at a snail’s pace. But even in the middle of this chaos, an inspiring act of kindness has become the highlight on social media. Late at night, journalist Sumit Jha found himself stuck on a flooded road when his bike was nearly swept away by stormwater. That’s when two delivery riders stepped in like real-life heroes.

Sharing the moment on X, he wrote, “Hey Zomato, Swiggy, just wanted to share that your riders not only delivered food during this deluge, but also saved me and my bike from being swept away in the stormwater. They did the same for hundreds of people like me trying to reach home at midnight in Hyderabad.”

Watch The Viral Video:

The video shows delivery men wading through waist-deep water, carefully dragging a motorbike to safety. The video, which was shared on September 18, has already been viewed over five lakh times and is winning hearts online.

"Glad that you are safe. Thanks to great human beings who helped you," a user wrote. "How can people order for online food in such situations? How will the delivery boy driver in such flood situations?" a user wrote. "Humanity to get the credit, and not Swiggy Zomato. They might penalise them to help you, which would have delayed the delivery," a second user wrote.

"No credit to Zomato and Swiggy for that. It's the goodness of those people," wrote a third user. "And the irony is, instead of naming the guys who actually helped at the place you chose to display the names of corporations who played no role in there whatsoever," wrote another user.

In a city battling flash floods, these delivery workers proved that their service goes beyond just dropping off food; they stood by strangers in need, showing grit, courage and compassion when it mattered most.
