Viral Video: Think your lock can protect your home? A viral video is making people rethink their security. Once considered strong and unbreakable, locks are now being shown to fail in just seconds, and the shocking part is, the 'tutorial' came straight from a thief himself. In the viral Instagram clip, the man, identified as a thief, calmly holds a syringe filled with what he says is petrol or another inflammable liquid. He pours it into the lock’s keyhole and upper section, waits for a moment, then lights a flame using a lighter and inserts it into the lock.

Within seconds, the lock’s insides are burning, and with just a gentle push, it snaps open. While performing the stunt, the thief explains the “science” behind it. According to him, many modern locks use a thin plastic membrane inside. Once exposed to fire and heat from the inflammable liquid, this part melts, making the lock easy to break.
