Indore Viral Video: It was a night straight out of a crime thriller in Indore’s posh Vijay Nagar area, where a daring robbery unfolded while an entire family slept peacefully. Around 3:30 am on Sunday, August 10, three masked thieves managed to break into the bungalow of retired Justice Ramesh Garg and walked away with cash and jewellery worth Rs 5 lakh. The heist didn’t take hours; it was over in just four minutes and ten seconds. First, the robbers broke the lock of the main gate, then forced open an almirah inside the house. To make things worse, they even cut through an iron window grille to get in, despite a security guard being posted outside.
But the most unbelievable part of the story is what happened inside. The house’s alarm system went off, but it failed to wake Justice Garg’s son, Ritvik. CCTV footage now viral on social media shows a robber standing calmly near Ritvik’s bed with a rod in hand, ready to attack if needed, while another thief quietly ransacked the room. Ritvik’s wife and children were sleeping in another room, completely unaware that a robbery was happening just a few feet away.
Police have now registered a case and are scanning CCTV footage from the area to track the gang. The entire city is left shocked at how such a smooth and fearless robbery could happen right under everyone’s nose.

"This incident in Indore highlights the evolving nature of crime, where, despite a long-term decline in burglary rates in India, the precision and audacity of such thefts remain a concern. It's a stark reminder that even as overall crime statistics improve, individual vigilance and home security are crucial," a user wrote. "No one would sleep through so much noise. He just acted like he was sleeping and didn't move, because he knew he would be attacked," a second user wrote.
"Indore thieves deserve an award in ‘stealth mode’—family was in deep sleep, and these guys did a full treasure hunt without waking a soul. Not the talent we need, but talent nonetheless," added a third user. "I think he was just clever to not wake up knowing that the other thief would hit him if he did," added another user.
