Kolkata Local Train Viral Video: Chaos broke out inside a Kolkata local train after a young woman allegedly sprayed pepper spray in a crowded compartment, leaving passengers coughing in panic. The shocking incident happened in the women’s coach of a Sealdah-bound train and was caught on camera by fellow commuters. In the viral video, several women can be seen shouting at a passenger wearing a green kurti, questioning her reckless act. One angry voice can be heard saying, “Why did you do this when there were children here?”
According to a post shared on Instagram, the woman had boarded the train from Sealdah and got into a heated argument with another female passenger over a seat. "When this girl in a green kurti saw that she couldn't get a seat after arguing, she took out a can of pepper spray from her bag and tried to spray it in the girl's face. When a woman standing nearby stopped her from doing so, the girl got angry and sprayed pepper spray all over the train compartment," the post read.
“Everyone started coughing, their throats and noses started burning. Two children began to feel unwell,” the post further read. Furious passengers surrounded the woman and demanded an explanation before handing her over to the Government Railway Police (GRP). Officials later confirmed that the woman was detained and questioned by the railway police and an investigation is now underway.
