Tiktok’s Viral Orange Peel Trend: Until last month, all that the internet could talk about was TikTok’s Orange Peel Theory trend on social media. From memes to emotional videos, netizens, quite literally, were peeling oranges to ‘prove’ that they were ready to do the ‘simple’ acts of love for their partners. With time, the trend finally reached India, and Indians being the ‘creative minds’ that they are, immediately gave the trend a desi twist. And now, the Indian social media is witnessing hilarious orange peel trend memes. However, before jumping to see the result of that twist, let's take a deep dive into the original trend itself.

Orange Peel Theory Trend:

The Orange Peel trend is a theory that appreciates the ‘small’ acts of love. According to the trend, a partner who is ready to do the simplest of the acts and the smallest of the acts for their loved one is the one to keep. Hence, netizens went all out with ‘peeling’ oranges and whatnot as the trend peaked on social media. 

Orange Peel Trend Gets Desi Twist:

With the trend reaching India, it immediately took a sarcastic tone. People began to recall the efforts shown by their parents, while some replaced the trend with famous movie dialogues. 

Taking to the internet, people shared their take on the trend. Most gave the ‘orange peel theory’ a desi twist and cracked hilarious jokes on the same, while the rest recalled the ‘acts of love’ that their parents have been showing from the very start, but never got the recognition for the same.
