Indonesian Influencer Ends Up In Prison: Continuing her usual social media activities, a 33-year-old Indonesian TikTok star, Lina Lutfiawati, posted a video of her trying some food. But the clip, unlike her other videos, instead went viral for all the wrong reasons and ended her up in jail. The reason behind the punishment soon surfaced online and the netizens were instantly left shocked. The video in question showed the star trying different nonvegetarian foods. Amid the experiment, the star went on to eat some pork rings, but her one word before having the pork, ended her up in huge trouble. The star was heard saying the Arabic phrase ‘Bismillah’ before eating pork, which is forbidden in the Islamic religion. The star saying the term ‘Bismillah’, which also means “in the name of God”, did not sit well with many, including the authorities. The woman, as a result, has been reportedly sentenced to 2 years in jail. The video was made in March.

The video was shared on the social media site X (formerly Twitter) by the handle ‘treeni’. The post was captioned, “Indonesian influencer sentenced to TWO YEARS of imprisonment for saying ‘BISMILLAH’ before eating pork.”

In the video, the 33-year-old influencer was seen trying different types of nonvegetarian foods. When it came to pork, the woman said the term ‘Bismillah’. The woman, as seen in the clip, also seemed as if she did not like the food at all.

The video soon went viral as it received a mixed reaction from the netizens. Most people expressed their concerns over the strict action that was taken against the woman by the authorities, while others compared the consequences with countries like the US or the UK where nothing would have happened for such a video. Some people sided with the government and pointed out that the woman should have not posted such content, which might have hurt the sentiments of a sect.
