Top 10 Most Dangerous Snakes: Snakes, despite their venomous nature, witness a huge fandom. Several choose them as their pets and snake enthusiasts often do not hold back when it comes to expressing their admiration for these shiny reptiles. But amid all the adoration, it is important to remember that snakes are some of the deadliest creatures in the world and are responsible for countless deaths. In fact, according to the World Health Organization, the venomous ones among these reptiles, bite about 5.4 million people every year, leading to up to 138,000 deaths. So, we found a list of the 10 most dangerous snakes in the world for you. The list was compiled by ‘A-z-animals’.
Inland Taipan
Sitting at the top of the list, Inland Taipan is the most dangerous snake in the world. The reptile is also the most venomous and reportedly can bite with 44-110mg of venom per bite. Despite the small amount, the snake can easily kill many.
Coastal Taipan
This Australian resident is on the second spot and is also known as common taipan. The reptile is the second most venomous snake after the Inland Taipan. Common Taipan or Coastal Taipan can cause major issues for the victim with a single bite.

Forest Cobra
Although King Cobra is more known and popular, it still is not as venomous as its cousin, the Forest Cobra. These snakes are on the third spot on the list and are found in Africa. They prefer to stay in isolation and do not face humans much.
Dubois’ Sea Snake
The ocean just became further scary, as even the coral reefs are not safe to swim around. Dubois’ Sea Snake is on the fourth spot on the list and is found in the Coral Sea, the Arafura Sea, the Timor Sea, and the Indian Ocean.
Eastern Brown Snake
Securing the fifth spot, the Eastern Brown Snake is found in Australia and is reportedly responsible for the most deaths in the region. Another scary factor about this snake is that it prefers to find its prey in populated areas.
Black Mamba
The next on the list is the Black Mamba. The reptile’s length precedes its reputation. The 10-foot-long snake is found in sub-Saharan Africa and is the largest venomous snake in Africa.
Russell’s Viper
Taking the seventh spot is the Russell’s Viper. These snakes are very deadly and are mostly found in Sri Lanka, Burma, and India. They have caused a huge number of deaths in these countries and prefer to stay in open grassland.
Boomslang
Despite its beautiful looks, the Boomslang has secured a spot on this ‘top 10’ list. They are found in Africa and mostly live on trees.

King Cobra
Of course, the list is incomplete without this popular snake that is feared for its highly deadly venom. The Kind Cobra is on the ninth spot on this list and is found in Southern Asia.
Fer-De-Lance or Terciopelo
On the tenth spot, is the Fer-De-Lance. They are one of the most dangerous pit vipers, that are found in South and Central America. They are also found in Brazil and Mexico. They are huge as they can reach up to 8 feet in length.
