India is a land of costumes and traditions. A well-known Hindu costume also includes Transgender persons, who bless a family whenever an auspicious occasion takes place. From the birth of a child to marriage, Trans persons often visit the family to bless them and receive a certain amount of Shagun money in return. Something similar happened in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore when a family welcomed a newborn baby. The Trans persons also visited the family to mark the occasion. But the ceremony soon turned ugly after a money dispute broke out. In the end, the Trans persons allegedly ended up abducting a pet Persian cat belonging to the family, according to news agency PTI.
Ruchika Gadkari, the 33-year-old pet owner, was staying with her family when her sister gave birth to a baby. The incident took place on August 27, when Gadkari’s mother refused to pay Rs 51,000 as the Shagun money and instead settled for Rs 2,500. The amount led to the Trans persons reportedly creating chaos during the ceremony.
The 33-year-old also filed a complaint against the guests and accused them of threatening to kidnap the newborn. Her statement was recorded on August 29, where she alleged that the cat was taken during the incident, according to the reports.
