‘Tum Jaisi Ladkiyon Ko…’: Faridabad Woman Claims Shop Staff Insulted Her And Forced Her To Leave The Store

Viral Reddit Post: A regular shopping trip for a woman in Faridabad turned into a shocking and humiliating experience that she says she’ll never forget. What was supposed to be a fun day of buying makeup for her sister’s wedding ended with her being thrown out of a Nykaa store in front of other customers. The woman shared her ordeal on Reddit with the post titled, “Asked to leave Nykaa and told to never return!" She claimed that the incident happened at Nykaa’s Sector 15 store on November 6 and that even the store manager silently watched while the staff behaved rudely.

According to her, she and her friend were checking out some colour correctors when a saleswoman walked up and told her not to use the product directly. The woman said she agreed and stepped back, even though the staff’s tone felt rude and commanding.

But things got worse when she moved to the skincare section. The same staff member suddenly told them that the store was closing, even though it was just 7 PM and several other customers were still shopping. When they asked why they were being told to leave, the saleswoman allegedly said, “Tum jaisi ladkiyo ko mai ache se janti hun, kuch kharidana nahi hai bas ghumne aajati ho.”

The argument quickly got heated. The employee began shouting, saying, “Kaam karti hun mai yahan. Naukar hun tumhari?” The woman wrote that she never called her a servant, but the insults kept coming, calling them “batameez ladkiya” and saying “maa baap ne kuch sikhaya nhi.” In the end, the staff asked them to get out of the store, yelling, “Bahar niklo yahan se kabhi aa mat jana yahan.” The confrontation even spilled outside, drawing the attention of everyone in the busy market.

“The whole market was listening and seeing us being humiliated like that, we didn’t utter a word as we were in shock, why would she do that?" she wrote, adding that the store manager witnessed everything but didn’t stop the staff. Later, she said a friend who works at Nykaa told her that such behaviour from the staff wasn’t new at that branch. The woman has already filed a complaint and emailed Nykaa about the issue but hasn’t received any response so far.

Reddit users were quick to react to the viral post. "This was bad, btw Sephora is really better. I went to Sephora Delhi just to try the shade. I tried and told them I don’t wanna buy. She didn’t say anything and I just came back after trying," a user wrote.

"Which city? This is so hard to believe, these salespeople are rude but this much rudeness? Was the store in some tier 3 city? No way a good store's salesperson would behave like that. Sorry it happened to you," a second user wrote. "I have heard so many such cases about rude behaviour from the sales lady of the Nykaa store. I really wanna visit a Nykaa store to buy foundation and concealer since I'm a makeup beginner and I want to find my shade match but hearing such stories just makes me wanna never visit the Nykaa store," added another user.
