Ukrainian Woman Viral Video: Many Indians dream of moving abroad but sometimes it takes an outsider to remind us of the little things we take for granted here. A Ukrainian woman, Viktoriia Chakraborty, recently surprised everyone by saying that “European gyms should learn from India.” Her Instagram post, which is now going viral, listed four reasons why she believes Indian gyms are better than the ones in Europe.
Viktoriia has been training in Indian gyms since 2017 and with years of experience, she pointed out why she prefers them. Her first observation was about money; she feels memberships in India are far more affordable compared to the hefty fees charged in Europe.
Next, she spoke about the atmosphere. According to her, Indian gyms carry a strong “community vibe” where people “talk, share tips, spot each other,” and genuinely connect, something she doesn’t often see in European gyms. For her third point, Viktoriia praised Indian gyms for offering “flexible hours and plans,” unlike many European gyms that usually push people into “yearly contracts.” And finally, she said trainers in India are far more “accessible,” which makes the workout experience smoother and more motivating.

Her post quickly grabbed attention, sparking a lively discussion online. Some users strongly agreed with her, sharing their own experiences. One commented, “All 4 points are spot on!! Very true, must have come from real experience.” Another wrote, “I feel like India in general is more social than Western countries.” But there were also mixed reactions, with some pointing out flaws in the Indian gym system, like underpaid trainers or selective attention from them.
Still, Viktoriia’s post has definitely struck a chord, making many Indians feel proud of their gyms while giving Europeans something to think about. For her, the verdict is clear: Indian gyms aren’t just cheaper, they’re warmer, friendlier and more welcoming too.
