UP News: Reminding the entire Uttar Pradesh of glorified Bollywood crime films, a man managed to escape the Ghaziabad Police after an intense car chase took place on a busy road. A video of the same was shared on social media, where the said escapee was seen driving a Hyundai i-20 in reverse gear. Meanwhile, the police vehicle was right in front of the i-20, while chasing it down. Meanwhile, no injuries relating to the incident were reported. The video went viral in no time and left the internet reacting.  

The entire incident, as per reports, was triggered after the police received a tip-off about ‘reckless and drunk’ driving. Meanwhile, commenting on the matter, the police also released a statement relating to the same. 

The car chase video was shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle 'sirajnoorani'. The post was captioned, “Today a video is going viral on social media according to which a car I-20 is running in reverse gear on the elevated road. He is being chased by a police PC. On getting more information about the incident.”

“It was found that last night around 9.30-10.00 pm, it was running on an elevated,” the man further wrote.

The incident, as per the statement, took place around 9:30 PM to 10 PM at night. The statement about the incident was also shared on the X handle of the Ghaziabad Police Commissionerate. “Today a video is going viral on social media according to which a car I-20 is running in reverse gear on the elevated road. He is being chased by a police PC. On getting more information about the incident, it was found that it was running on elevated at around 9.30-10.00 pm last night,” the post read. 

As the video went viral, some chastised the man for violating traffic rules and possibly putting the lives of others in danger, while the rest commended the man’s driving skills and raised questions about the police and their chasing skills. The video was shared yesterday and pulled hundreds of likes.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “The driver seems to have watched the entire series of Fast and Furious,” a user said. “Neither the drivers of our police department are taught the art of hitting and stopping nor are the vehicles made of their type, otherwise the car riders would not have been able to run away,” said a second person. “The officer who issues the driver's license should be rewarded,” added next. “The man also ran away from Yogi's police. He really is a lion,” added a third user.
