US VP Kamala Harris Dance Goes Viral: With the much-loved hip-hop genre celebrating its 50th anniversary, people all over the world, especially the fans of the upbeat genre, have been hosting several parties and celebrations over the milestone. Joining the bandwagon, US Vice President Kamala Harris also hosted a party to celebrate the same. Embracing the 90s fashion, the 58-year-old went all out with the celebration. Amid all this, a video of Harris dancing and flexing her hip-hop moves surfaced online and instantly went viral. The video felt the netizens divided, as some loved her moves, while others called it embarrassing. 

The video was shared on social media site X (formerly Twitter)  by the user ‘Anthony Brian Logan (ABL)'. The post was captioned, “Kamala Harris with the granny moves at her 50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop party.”

In the video, the US Vice President was seen dancing to a song along with a few people. Donning high-waist pink pants and a multi-color shirt, she went for a look from the 90s. Harris looked enthusiastic and did a few steps on some hip-hop beats while maintaining a broad smile on her face.

The video instantly went viral and received several reactions from netizens. Some people loved her dance and called it genuine, while others did not like her attire and even called her dance cringe. The video was shared on September 10 and pulled 43.8K views from netizens.

Taking to the comment box, people shared their take. “Shocked she didn't insist the Playlist feature all Tupac music,” a user said. “This woman knows the danza de la muerte,” a second person said. “Yes, this is embarrassing—but why aren't we addressing the much sadder truth: This is choreographed—she knew in advance that this would be posted and still couldn't conjure up something more convincing than this nauseous display,” a third added. “I disagree. I think she deserves to dance any way she wants as she is celebrating a huge honorable milestone. And she looks great!” added a fourth person. “Kamala looks good to me! Let's see you do better,” said a fifth.

The hip-hop genre in the music industry completed its 50 years, and hip-hop lovers left no stone unturned in celebrating the milestone. It was created in August 1973. The genre originated in New York’s Bronx, where many hail 18-year-old Clive Campbell, more popular by the name DJ Kool Herc, behind the genre.
