US woman Viral Video: Living in Delhi can be a challenge when it comes to air quality, especially during the winter months. An American woman, Kristen Fischer, who has been residing in the city for four years, recently shared her secret for keeping the air inside her home clean and safe. In a video on Instagram, she explained that many people ask her, "So people ask me how I’m able to manage the air quality here in Delhi." To show the difference, she first checked the air outside with a monitor, which showed a reading of 210, considered very unhealthy.

Then she carried the device indoors, where it quickly dropped to 48, thanks to the air purifiers in her house. Kristen said, "This is because we have air purifiers in our house." She revealed that she runs four air purifiers all the time, which keeps the indoor air "nice and clean." She stressed that while the outside air in Delhi can be extremely polluted, especially between November and January, controlling indoor air makes a big difference.

She explained further in the caption, "Indoor air is the most important. While I can’t change the condition outside, I can maintain a safe indoor environment for my family." During the high-pollution months, her family spends more time indoors and prioritises breathing and sleeping in controlled and clean air.

Kristen added that Delhi’s pollution is seasonal and the city’s air is much better outside of the peak winter months. She also reminded everyone that indoor air doesn’t improve by itself. “Indoor air quality is not always good like this; it is only due to the air purifiers we run full-time. Without those, the indoor air can be just as bad, or even worse than outside.”

The video shared just a day ago pulled 126K views from users. "I am happy to see that there is a way how to manage that inside at least," a user wrote. "Delhi is ok for people who want to live only indoors. I’m sad for all the people who have no Choice and must bear this pollution because they either have no Money to buy an air purifier or they dont have a proper home," a second user wrote.

"Hopefully, the outdoor AQI of Delhi soon gets as good as your indoor AQI," wrote a third user. "Where did you get the air quality measuring gadget from, and for how much? I’m interested in buying one for my home," added a fourth user.

Her tips offer a simple but powerful reminder: even when outside conditions are harsh, taking small steps at home can make a huge difference for health and safety.
