Reminding the entire internet community about the ‘Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act’ (POCSO), a student and teacher duo went viral on social media for a ‘questionable’ photoshoot during their school’s educational trip. The student in question was reportedly a class 10th student, who posed for a ‘romantic’ photoshoot with his female teacher. The incident took place in Karnataka’s Murugamalla Chikkaballapur. Their pictures where the boy can be seen donning a kurta, while the government school teacher wearing a saree, are doing rounds on social media. The photos, soon after being shared, drew major flak from many, as people demanded strict actions against the teacher for getting involved with an underaged student.  

Meanwhile, the student’s parents have reportedly filed a complaint with the Block Education Officer (BEO). They have also demanded an ‘investigation’ over the matter. 

The post was shared on the social media site X (formerly Twitter), by the user ‘satya_AmitSingh’. The post was captioned, “Where are we heading as a society? Pictures and videos from a romantic photoshoot of a government school teacher with a Class 10 student in Karnataka's Murugamalla Chikkaballapur district, went viral, following which the student's parents filed a complaint with the Block Education Officer (BEO). The parents have demanded a thorough investigation into the teacher's behaviour. The photoshoot reportedly took place during an educational trip.”

The post instantly went viral as netizens began to react to it as soon as it surfaced online. Most people chastised the teacher and demanded action against her as many assumed that the student must be underaged, while others called the photoshoot ‘fine’ if the people involved had ‘consented’ to it. Many also dubbed the behaviour of the teacher and the student ‘unprofessional’. The post was shared yesterday and pulled 23K views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Strong action should be taken against the student. He is not innocent,” a user said. “If they both want to stay together then what is the problem? They both are having fun, there's nothing wrong with it,” said another. “I don't think there will be anything wrong going on,” said the next. “He is not a kid, they want to enjoy themselves,” joined a third person. “Just imagine the outrage if the teacher is a male and the student is a female,” commented a fourth. “What is going on these days, this is so wrong,” said next.
