Viral Video: Indians are one of the happiest people when it comes to their festivals. And major festivals like Diwali, Dussehra, Ganesh Chaturthi, Holi and more, simply elevate the same joy to a much higher level. Displaying something similar, a video recently went viral, where a woman single-handedly won the entire internet by merely dancing cheerfully in her apartment. Confused? Well, what made her dance and her joy worth the social media hype was that she was grooving to the dhol beats that were blasting on the street. Judging by what was seen in the clip, the celebratory procession was over the much-preached festival of Ganesh Chaturthi.
The dance video, soon after getting shared, went viral almost immediately. Most people found the woman’s dance joyful and wholesome, while some called it an invasion of privacy.
The incident reportedly took place in Mumbai, but the date could not be confirmed. The video was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Mumbaikhabar9’. The post was captioned, “This lady dances in her flat to music on the street.” The video was shared yesterday and pulled more than 95K views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “This is beautiful in many ways. Celebrating small pleasures of life,” a user said. “It is the ‘Ganapathi Papa Moriya’ frenzy which induced her to blissfully dance, bidding goodbye to Ganeshji. Her act has to be applauded to support her mood and bliss,” added a second person.
“The beauty of Hindu festival. Today I saw one of small Muslim girl travelling with family by auto when she heard Ganpati visarjan music she started to dance in the auto,” added a third person. “Either we search for the happiness or we find it. She unlocked her happiness from the band that was playing her favourite music and she danced to it in her house,” added a fourth person. “That’s an invasion of privacy,” added another.
