Viral Video: In yet another typical ‘desi’ incident, a woman was attacked by a monkey while she was sitting on her balcony. The incident was captured on the CCTV camera that was installed in the house. The clip was quick to go viral on social media, as the video left the internet divided. The clip showed the woman busy with her work when the seemingly unprovoked animal attacked her by pulling her braid. The attack only turned riskier when another primate joined its furry ‘friend’. The sudden attack continued until the woman’s family reached the spot to help her out. The exact date and location of the incident could not be confirmed.

The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘WeUttarPradesh’. The post was captioned, “Beware of monkeys! A video is going viral on social media, in which a monkey can be seen pulling a woman's hair. In this funny but shocking incident, a companion of the monkey is also seen helping him. This tug of war ended when the woman's family members reached the spot and freed her hair. This video is giving a message to the viewers to be cautious along with making them laugh, especially in areas where monkeys are common.” The video was shared yesterday and pulled 456K views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “What is in her hair that they are pulling it for some reason!?” a user said. “Monkey was just trying to make a wig for his winter look. The lady, however, is not amused,” commented a second person. “Guys this is a planned conspiracy," added another.
